The on-going vessel calling to Port Vila are subjected to port dues charges, which is determined by the following factors:
- The size of the vessel (per 100 gross tonnage)
- Length of stay (calculated by 24-hours block)
- And purpose of call
Every vessel other than an exempted vessel which uses the services of a pilot within the compulsory pilotage areas of Port Vila or Luganville must pay the pilotage fees at the following rates.

- Between 1800 hours to 2400 hours Monday to Friday 50 %
- On Saturday between 0600 hour to 2400 Hours 50%
- Between 2400 to 0600 Hour 100%
- Between Sundays and public Holidays 100%
